Macintosh Mule

  • 1 1/2 oz Apple Flavored Whiskey
  • 1/2 oz cranberry syrup
  • 1/2 oz ginger syrup
  • 1/2 oz lime juice
  • 2 dashes of aromatic bitters
  • soda water

To make the cranberry syrup:

Roughly chop 2 cups of cranberries and add into a pot with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. Add a small hunk of fresh ginger. Simmer until cranberries have softened completely and sugar has dissolved. Finely strain and let cool before use.

To make the ginger syrup:

Combine 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of water and 1 hunk of ginger (sliced) in a pot. Simmer on low-medium heat for 15 minutes. Strain and let cool before use.

 

Combine all ingredients except the soda water into a shaker. Shake and strain into a collins glass. Top with soda water and incorporate into cocktail with a barspoon or straw. Garnish with a lime wheel.
